Practice Terms and Conditions

Sometimes being late for appointments is unavoidable. Please let us know if you are going to be late, but please also be aware that if you are going to be more than 5 minutes late you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
When we schedule an appointment for a patient, we are booking the surgery time off for that patient’s treatment. If you need to cancel an appointment, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for any cancellation.
Failure to give the appropriate notice of cancellation for NHS appointments will result in a short-notice cancellation strike against you. If you fail to attend an appointment, this will result in a Failed to Attend strike against you. If you have two Short Notice Cancellations and/or Failed to Attend strikes against you within a year, this will result in being deregistered from the practice and you will need to find another dental practice to attend.
If you are a private patient or have been booked in for private treatment and have failed to attend or short notice cancelled an appointment, a charge will be applied to your account and no further appointments will be booked until the account has been settled. If you are late for your appointment, you will be charged £1 for every minute you are late.
It is recommended that you see a dentist every 6-12 months for routine check-ups. It is your responsibility to book your appointment. Although we do send out reminders for appointments on occasion due to unforeseen circumstances these may not be received, so you must also keep a record of when your appointments are due and booked as we will not accept this as a liable reason for not being seen or missing appointments.
If you do not attend the practice for 2 or more years, you will be automatically deregistered and you will need to find a different dental practice to attend.
